Bamboo at the place of steel…

Do you even know bamboo ya you will be definately knowing about it..

Bamboos are a diverse group of evergreen perennial flowering plants in the subfamily Bambusoideae of the grass family.

But have you ever heard that it is used in construction works like flooring, roofing, rcc, scaffolding, designing, etc etc…

Bamboo reinforced concrete construction follows the same ratio, design mix , proportion, techniques as used in steel reinforcement.

Some things that makes bamboo a better choice  as compared to steel are…..

•Tensile strength is high.

•Bamboo has an impermeable protective layer on the outer side which protects it from the influence of water.

•They are also resistant towards earthquake at some level.

•And many more…..

Actually this material “Bamboo” is not a new thing in market it is used by our ancestors also. It is been in use from long time .

So here is a video in which bamboo is used at the place of steel for construction so here we go….

Chenab Arch Railway Bridge🌉

Have you not yet 🤔 heared about the recent constructed Chenab Arch Rail bridge a Indian  railway steel and concrete arch bridge between Bakkal and Kauri in the Jammu and Kashmir.

It is the world’s highest rail bridge been constructed from 10 years and now has been completed its overall construction.

On April  5 the Indian Railway created history as it completed the arch closure of iconic Chenab Bridge.

Do you even know that it is also much much higher then the Qutub minar,73 m. the newly constructed Arch Railway Bridge is 4 times higher then that ,320 m. above the surface of Chenab river 😳and it stretches to a total length of 1,315 m.

ANI reported that the railways ministry, in a statement, said that the Chenab Arch bridge can withstand high wind speed up to 266 kms.per hour and bear earthquake forces of the highest intensity zone-V in India.

It is 359 m. tall and even it has made a world record also for being the tallest arch railway bridge in the world.

Now the path  between Kashmir and Kanyakumari is also possible through railways.

If Effile tower is put under it then also this bridge is 35 m .tall than that.

The Chenab river is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project (USBRL).

Chenab Bridge is designed to be blast proof, wind proof and seismic resistant.

I hope you will like this information as it is very proud moment to see such great works of civil engineers. Share your views and opinions…….

We have heard about many materials , chemicals to protect the steel from corrosion but now a new research is going on a material “Graphene” which can be easily used for the different purposes for construction as well as for corrosion resistance.

Graphene is a single layer (monolayer) of carbon atoms, tightly bounded in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice.

Graphene coatings can also increases the lifetime of steel.

Experiments shows that graphene is 10 times better than steel at absorbing the energy of a penetrating projectile.

And Ya! you can easily make it on your home also yes 😀

1. Pour graphite powder into blender.

2. Add water and dishwashing liquid and mix it at high speed

Congratulations 👏 you have made the graphene a wonderful material.

Mainly it is prepared in laboratory for large production as well as for accuracy.

I hope you will like this information share your views guys…..
